Description

Set in a pristine World Heritage Park, The Bayview Chateau sits elegantly at the often snow-clad foot of Mount Ruapehu.
Built in 1929 to house New Zealand's first intrepid skiers, The Bayview Chateau is renowned for its classical styling and grandeur, epitomised by the Ngauruhoe Room and it's panoramic views of Mount Ngauruhoe. The historical importance of The Bayview Chateau has recently been recognised by the NZ Historic Places Trust who have awarded it a category one classification.
Whether you're joining us for winter skiing, summer trekking, or a special retreat, you'll enjoy a quintessential alpine experience at The Grand Chateau.
Wake up each morning to your superbly private view of Tongariro National Park. After a long days alpine activity or sightseeing, retire to the relaxing comfort of your room, where you'll find all the amenities you'd expect from a first class hotel.
