Each of the suites at Okiato has its own deck with views of the inner Bay of Islands and its own lounge area, television and ensuite bathroom. For your comfort and convenience we provide bathrobes, beach towels, hairdryers, tea and coffee making facilities, mini-bars, radio/alarm clocks. The lodge has eight suites with a combination of single, queen or king size sleeping arrangements. For those requiring added privacy the Okiato suite has its own spa pool and private deck area.

Situated on the site of New Zealand's first capital, Okiato Lodge is just eight kilometres from the charming bayside village of Russell. The area abounds in historical sites, such as the oldest Church in New Zealand and our oldest surviving European building, Kemp House.
At Waitangi you can view a replica of our nation's founding document. The Treaty of Waitangi, and visit the building where British and Maori leaders came together to sign it. The Treaty House is frozen in time, furnished as it would have been in colonial times. You can also see a Maori war canoe built to carry 150 warriors!
