Day 1: Christchurch - Glaciers
Board on the renowned TranzAlpine Express train and cross the Canterbury Plains to the mountains. Arthur's Pass and the lengthy Otira Tunnel lead you to the West Coast. Pick up your car in Greymouth and travel via Jade carvers of Hokitika to the glacier region.
Stay two nights at Fox or Franz Josef Glacier.

Day 2: At Fox or Franz Josef Glacier
A whole day is available for optional excursions onto the glacier by foot or helicopter, for bush walks or local sightseeing.

Day 3: Glaciers - Wanaka
Dense rainforest contrasts with rugged coastal vistas as you plunge deeper into South Westland. Drive through the Haast Pass, you may like to travel stop for a jet boat ride. Cross the pass to reach Lake Wanaka in the early afternoon.
Overnight in Wanaka.

Day 4: Wanaka - Queenstown
The morning is free for optional sightseeing such as Puzzling World or the Fighter Pilot's Museum. In the early afternoon, rejoin your coach to travel through the Kawarau Gorge to Queenstown for three nights.

Day 5: Queenstown - Milford Sound - Queenstown

Take a day tour out to the magnificent Milford Sound and cruise the beautiful waterway. Return to Queenstown in the evening.

Day 6: At Queenstown
Today is completely at your leisure . here are dozens of optional activities as well, from thrilling jet boat rides to leisurely lake cruises, 4WD safaris, bungy jumping, visit Walter Peak etc.

Day 7: Queenstown - Mt Cook - Christchurch

Travel through the rocky Kawarau Gorge and past Cromwell to climb up and over Lindis Pass. The tussocky plains of the Mackenzie Country lie before you as you head towards Mt Cook village in the heart of the Southern Alps. Stop here at Mt Cook flight seeing or lunch before travelling on to Tekapo to see the Church of the Good Shepherd Cross Burkes Pass to Fairlie and Geraldine before returning to Christchurch once more.
